IMG_1680 Xplosive Training

Sports Performance Training with Kristal Nelson, PT

It is always interesting when athletes talk about their training and they say they “just play the sport.” When they do train, they tend to work on the things that they like to do and avoid the things they do not enjoy. In some cases they do train with their coaches and teams but these programs train all players the same. The key to Xplosive Training is efficiency of training. To do that, you have to know your weaknesses.

The physical therapists at Back in Action are experts in determining your weak links and setting you on a path to your greatest potential.  Xplosive Training starts with functional testing to determine speed, core strength, flexibility, and power. Training sessions begin with focusing on weaknesses as that is the quickest way to improvement and prevents getting sidelined with injury.

Back in Action has trained male and female athletes from high school to division I sports. We train athletes from football, soccer, baseball, volleyball and hockey.

The Xplosive Training Program consists of:

Evaluation:  Goals and physical abilities will be evaluated to determine the most efficient method of training. The physical assessment will highlight weaknesses that will aid in focussing the workouts.  This is the fastest way to improve your athletic performance and is a critical step in beginning any effective and efficient program.

2010_1013B_BackInAction47Training Sessions:  Individual or group sessions are available in various packages depending on the needs of the athlete.  Sessions area one hour long and are not for the faint of heart!  The athlete will be challenged and a winning attitude is always demanded.

Winning is not a sometime thing; It's an all time thing.  You don't win once in a while.  You don't do things right once in a while.  You do them right all the time.  Winning is habit.  Unfortunately, so is losing.  (Vince Lombardi)
